He had the Scottish title of “Earl of Rosebery” and is often referred to as “Lord Rosebery”. He was prime minister in the time of Queen Victoria, after William Gladstone, and before Marquis of Salisbury.
Archibald Primrose was born in London to an aristocratic family. He was educated at the famous Eton, attended by children of wealthy parents, and later at Oxford. He was a big fan of racing horses. He inherited about 40,000 acres of land in Scotland, a large annual income and the mentioned title of Lord Rosebery.

Of course, she was a Jew, which presented a problem in those days society. Namely, both his and her family had objections to the marriage. However, they were married in a Christian ceremony. She, however, retained her Jewish faith.
With her legacy, his wife brought him immense wealth. Let us just mention the huge Mentmore Towers mansion between Oxford and Cambridge (that mansion was used as the house of Bruce Wayne in a Batman movie). Lord and Lady Rosebery possessed at least 12 castles and houses in England and Scotland, a yacht in France, and even a villa near Naples, which is now the official residence of the President of Italy. It is interesting that their marriage seems to have been quite happy.
Lord Rosebery died in England at the age of 82, in the town of Epsom in which the famous horse racing competition, “The Derby”, is held (race horses were, as noted, the passion of Lord Rosebery).
