Bill Clinton and many senators studied at Georgetown University.

The first Catholic university in the United States was founded on January 23, 1789. This university still exists today and is called Georgetown University. It is located in the US capital, Washington, in the Georgetown neighborhood, located along the Potomac River and just a few miles from the White House.

Georgetown University is one of the most respected educational and scientific institutions in the United States today. Many celebrities from American public life have studied it, including Bill Clinton and a considerable number of US senators. From foreigners, José Manuel Barroso, King Abdullah II of Jordan, Prince of Spain, Crown Prince Felipe (Prince of Asturias), studied there.
The university was founded by US Catholic Archbishop John Carroll, who was a Jesuit at one time. Even today, the Jesuits have influence at that university, and six members of that Catholic order are today among the board members.
