On January 29, 1845, Edgar Alan Poe’s The Raven song was first released, one of the most famous songs of all time. At the time of the song’s release, Poe was 36 and married to his native Virginia native. Clemm, who was about thirteen and a half years younger than him, and suffering from tuberculosis. Poe’s wife passed away at the age of only 24, on January 30, 1847, the day after the second anniversary of the release of the song Gavran.

The poem was published on The Date in The New-York Mirror, in which Edgar Alan Poe also worked as an editor. Poe moved to the post of editor in another newspaper, The Broadway Journal, in the month of February, 1845, which he soon became the owner of (the only newspaper Poe ever owned). the age of forty, only about four and a half years after the Raven’s announcement.
