  • The Ford Mustang was presented in 1964, during the filming of the movie Goldfinger (with Sean Connery as James Bond). “Beatlemania” arrived in the USA during that year.

The first generation of the Ford Mustang was presented on this day in 1964. This model has been enormously popular and has become the most successful of Ford`s cars. The Mustang has been continuously produced since 1964.

Lee Iacocca, one of the American most prominent managers, was Ford`s department director during the development of the Mustang. The Ford Mustang was introduced during the New York World’s Fair on this day in 1964.

It was one of the biggest exhibitions (fairs) in the history of the United States and in some way represented the culmination of a trend. For example, the famous Michelangelo’s Pietà was brought from Vatican to New York due to this exhibition.

Interestingly, “Beatlemania” arrived in the USA during the same year. Namely, The Beatles took the top spot on the U.S. Music Charts in February, and flew to the USA for the first time. The Ford Mustang was also presented during the filming of the movie Goldfinger (with Sean Connery as James Bond).
