  • historical event: Here is a list of the measured IQs of Nazi leaders who were tried at the famous Nuremberg Trials. Namely, the U.S. military psychologist G. M. Gilbert, with the help of IQ tests, measured the intelligence of Nazi defendants at that trial, and his findings have been preserved until today.

On this day, six-and-a-half months after the end of World War II, the Nuremberg Trials started. Only the twenty highest-ranking German war criminals were tried (the others were tried separately later). The accused were: the Commander of the Luftwaffe Hermann Goering, Hitler’s deputy Rudolf Hess, Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel (Supreme Commander of the German Armed Forces), Hitler’s private secretary Martin Bormann, diplomat Joachim von Ribbentrop, Hitler’s Vice-Chancellor Franz von Papen, SS – Obergruppenführer Ernst Kaltenbrunner (the highest member of SS who survived the end of the war), Economics Minister Dr. Hjalmar Schacht, Grand Admiral Karl Dönitz , Minister of Foreign Affairs Konstantin von Neurath, head of the Hitler Youth Baldur von Schirach, Minister of Armaments Albert Speer (the chief architect of the Reich), Grand Admiral Erich Raeder, Nazi journalist Hans Fritzsche, newspaper publisher Julius Streicher, industrialist Gustav Krupp, Governor-General of occupied Poland Hans Frank, Minister of the Interior Wilhelm Frick, military strategist Alfred Jodl, leader of the German Labour Front Robert Ley, author of the Racial Theory Alfred Rosenberg, plenipotentiary of the Nazi slave labor program Fritz Sauckel, enforcer of the Anschluss Arthur Seyss-Inquart, and president of the Reichsbank Walther Funk.
